Hadley Shares well

I woke up early this morning with the wonderful stomach bug that my daughter had. Another day curled up on the couch…

Ready to go…

Yesterday I started my 5k Walking program. Brad and I walked for 15 minutes. Not hard, but a step in the right direction! My goal is to walk a local 5k in April, and then to walk/jog the color run in the fall. As for weight loss, that’s not going so good. I did a weight loss challenge and ended at the same weight I started. At least I didn’t gain. Now to keep on track with my 5k training!

My how Things can Change!

The last time I updated I talked about getting a degree in Hospitality Management, but I have refined that a little. Instead of working in a hotel I think I would rather work on the event side of things. So this Summer I am going to get an event and wedding planning certification. This was my original plan after I finished my bachelors in music. I guess really I’m still not 100% sure what I want to be when I grow up.

Two years and counting

Two years from this fall I plan on sitting in a house in Florida, working towards my bachelors in Hospitality Management.  And then a couple years after that, my dream is to be working at the Walt Disney World Resort with that Degree.  This is going to take so much more then packing boxes.  This is where my two year plan comes in to play.  I have two years to lose this excess weight, get my house organized, finish an associates degree, help my husband find a new job, find a place to live and find a place to finish my degree.  It’s a lot, but I am up for the challenge.  Here’s to a great two years!!!

You can’t just quit!!!

It has been a stressful few weeks in the Pennington Household.  My husband recently started working for the police department and he has been having a hard time with some of the parts of his job.  It doesn’t help that his FTO is being a huge pain in the…well you know.  It is so hard to see him thinking about switching jobs and wanting to quit, but I know I have to be there.  I love the thought of being a police officers wife, but this isn’t about me and the title I want to keep.  All of this stress is really screwing my diet, I haven’t gained weight, but I haven’t lost either.  I only pray that this road gets easier!  Also on top of everything Hadley has poison ivy or something like it on her leg and is cutting an insane amount of teeth.  Today I feel like the little engine that could…I think i can I think I can.

Allow me to Introduce Myself

I am a wife, but not just any wife.  My husband recently became a police officer, so I am now the wife of a public servant.  I am also a mom to a beautiful 16 month old girl, who just figured out what her legs are for.  I will be starting school again in the fall.  I am a speaker/leader/worship leader for Streetwise Ministries, which is an local street outreach ministry.  I also sing solo and with a group.  And, as you can tell by the title of my blog I am quite overweight.  As you can see I have a very busy life and I don’t have time or energy to continue being so overweight.  So today I am going to take the first steps in my journey to weighing 150 pounds.  I wasn’t more children, I want to keep up with the one I have and I want to be the best me I can be.  So here it goes.
